You can trace "World's Fairs" all the way back to the 1933 Chicago Century Of

Progress, which was the first to issue matchcovers. From San Francisco to New

York and around the world, World's Fair covers have been issued, often very

colorful, often dated. Not one of the easier categories, but very rewarding,

especially if the collector has actually been to some of the fairs. There are

currently over 1,500 of them.
